DAV BR PUBLIC SCHOOL, BINA is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), which is the largest educational board in the country and is duly recognized by the Department of Education, Government of NCT Delhi. The School has students enrolled from grade Nursery to grade XII.
DAV BR PUBLIC SCHOOL, BINA does not rank its students. However, an average ranking on the basis of percentiles is done.
Academic ability is recognized in the form of grades.
The student government is headed by one head boy and one head girl, and includes the Student’ Council, the Cultural Society, the Quizzing Club, the Environment Club and the Social Service League, with each body having a president a secretary and members. There is also an Editorial Board, comprising of Editors, Deputy Editors, Art Editors, Special Correspondents and Photo Editors, which brings out the annual school publication Magazine, every year. The faculties of DAV Public School are lead by Mr.A.K.Mishra who not only head the school but also shapes their special characters. Each faculty member is both a teacher and a scholar, an expert in his or her own field. The faculty of DAV Public School, consists of 35 full time highly qualified teachers, who have extensive teaching experience in their respective fields.
Each staff member also imbibes the DAV culture and ethos, which is the thread that binds the entire teaching fraternity of the DAV Society. This academic community not only imparts instruction through the regular teaching periods, it also engages students in a variety of other ways, whether it is to conduct the morning assembly, bring out school publications, arrange and participate in cultural shows, or just simply arrange visits.
All teachers are also involved in some school activities like as House Wardens, Class Representatives, the Environment Council, Editorial Board, Cultural Department and Sports etc. In fact, all teachers also share membership with students on various committees, school houses, and supervise individual or small-group research projects. The opportunities for formal and informal relationships with the DAV faculty are plentiful and rewarding, resulting in lifelong friendships as well as professional mentorship that shape students’ lives and careers.
Students learn through teacher instruction, group activities and field trips. Seminars and workshops also form an integral part of the School Curriculum. Teachers use a student-centered style which instills confidence, initiative, and the development of critical and analytical skills. Guest Speakers are also invited to the schools to familiarize the students on various academic, scientific, social and cultural issues.
